At Brain Spectrum, we understand how disorienting it can be when you or your child are struggling emotionally. As a mother herself, Dr. Thurlow is acutely aware of your concerns and fears, particularly when it comes to your child’s psychological wellbeing. This is why she takes no shortcuts when it comes to the diagnostic process.

You may have scoured the internet for solutions, and you may have tried all sorts of methods to try and solve the problem. Your child may even be in some form of therapy but you’re not sure it’s working. At Brain Spectrum Neuropsychology, we believe that accurate diagnosis is the first step in developing an effective treatment plan.

We conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations with the goal of providing you with diagnostic clarity. Dr. Thurlow has been conducting complex assessments of children, teens, and adults with multiple diagnoses and co-occurring profiles for many years and she understands the complicated nature of the human psyche.

This is not a quick process. Our psychological evaluations are detailed, and they involve cognitive testing, personality assessment, in-depth clinical interviewing, and behavioral observations.

How Can a Psychological Evaluation Benefit You or Your Family Member?

We view the primary purpose of a diagnostic evaluation to be enhanced understanding, and we believe that with greater understanding comes enhanced wellbeing.

If you or your child is diagnosed with a behavioral, emotional, or more complex multi-faceted issue, Dr. Thurlow will discuss these diagnoses with you during a feedback session. She will also offer evidence-based recommendations and provide treatment referrals upon request.

You will also be provided with a comprehensive report of the results.
