- Cognitive Processing Deficits
- Giftedness
- Anxiety, Depression, Mood, and Complex Psychological Presentations
- Behavioral Challenges

At Brain Spectrum, we provide high-precision, evidence-based evaluations of psychological, educational, and learning disorders using a variety of methods to achieve a high degree of diagnostic accuracy when we assess our young clients.
We also recognize that your child’s comfort is paramount, so we pay extra attention to establishing rapport in order to make the experience as light and fun as possible.
What Is Our Process?

Depending on the nature of the evaluation, your child will then be scheduled for up to three testing appointments. These in-person appointments typically last between two and four hours each, during which Dr. Thurlow will observe and interact with your child, as well as administer relevant tests. Parent, teacher, and other relevant questionnaires will be sent out by email.
What Results Can Be Expected?

Once all sessions have been completed, all the information and data that has been compiled is then reviewed and interpreted. A custom evaluation report of the results is then provided at the end of a 50-minute parent feedback session.
Every client will be provided with their clearly written report of the results and with evidence-based recommendations. If indicated, recommendations will also include school recommendations for special education services through an IEP, or accommodations through a 504 plan. The report can be kept private; shared with the school to demonstrate eligibility for special education services; or shared with the treatment team.
